Equinox Fitness Clubs, the premier fitness company in the industry, is looking for a qualified Fitness Manager to join an atmosphere defined by energy and professionalism. We operate upscale, full-service fitness facilities in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco and Boston. We offer an integrated selection of Equinox-branded programs, services and products, including strength and cardio training, group fitness classes, personal training, spa services, apparel and food/juice bars.
We are looking for an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic Fitness Manager to join the Equinox team at our luxury locations in Woodbury and Roslyn, NY! This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Assist in the development of the Personal Training staff
• Ensure the highest level of customer service, quality of personal training sessions and continued growth of the Personal Training department
• Develop the foundation from which the personal training business operates.
• Co-manage the member services program.
• Establish and maintain the highest standards of quality for the personal training program.
The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills, and education:
• 2-3 years of previous experience as a Personal Trainer.
• Proven leadership ability in an educational, fitness or professional setting.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Current national personal training certification.
• Proven ability to coach and train staff.
• Excellent communication, time management, organizational and follow-up skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Enthusiastic, energetic, personable and friendly as well as passionate, intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry.
